Tuning issue after factory service on SP...

Reaching out to see if anyone here could lend a hand – or on the off chance that someone from Moog sees this. I’ve reached out to Moog’s tech support email (and Adam Pryor at Moog tech support) multiple times over the last few days, and hit up their Facebook page, but have received no responses.

After sending my Sub Phatty into Moog to have a faulty OSC2 octave pot replaced, it was returned to me and I discovered that it was out of tune. Currently, with the fine tuning knob at 12 o’clock, notes are registering about 25 cents flat. (“C” sounds almost exactly between “B” and “C”, “D” sounds between “C#” and “D”, and so on.) With the fine tune knob maxed out clockwise, it’s just below correct pitch. I can squeak by for most live performance, but I’ve got no leeway if I ever need to adjust to other instruments.

After doing some research here, it sounds like whenever the SP was recalibrated back at the Moog Factory, the fine-tune knob was set fully clockwise rather than centered. I saw Amos recommend running the calibration SysEx file (but with the Fine Tune knob set at 12 o’clock during the recalibration) for a similar issue on another Moog, but this file for the SP seems to be unavailable online. I already ran the hidden-feature note calibration in the SP’s sub menu, but the 25 cent flat tuning stayed constant.

I’m kind of at the end of my rope, as I sent it off to be fixed only to have it returned with another issue, and it seems to be radio silence from team Moog on getting any assistance with remedying the problem. I’ve got a TV taping next week where I need to play the SP, so time is of the essence, but it looks like I might be resorting to my old MicroKorg if I can’t get the problem solved.

Thanks ahead of time to anyone who can guide me towards the calibration SysEx files for the SP, or has any other advice.
