can any one help, i am trying to upgrade from os 2.5 to 3.0
when i try to send the sysex files the progress bar goes two thirds of the way then stops and it says systum exclusive transfare has failed. I am using librarian and digi 002 as my midi interface with a mac. also i have recently been getting alot of errors when transfering banks to the voyager , i am not sure if this is related.

When you say ‘Librarian’, are you referring to the Voyager Editor/Librarian or the SysEx Librarian?
I’ve always had good success with sysex files using the SysEx Librarian program with all my synths, Voyager included (using either an M-Audio 2496 or a MIDI Sport 1x1 USB interface in Mac OS 10.3.4).
Based on my own experience, I’d suggest you try SysEx Librarian. If you’re already using it, though, it might be the Digi 002 (you mentioned bank transfer errors). If the Digi 002 is the source of the errors, a cheap (~$30 US) USB MIDI interface might solve the problem for you.

In using MidiOx I initially had that same problem where the transfer stopped. What solved the problem was increasing the buffer in MidiOx.

and while you’re there grab a copy of the MIDI Monitor program. Handy to see what’s going on with MIDI data.
BTW - MarkM’s response reminded me that you might try adjusting the transfer rate in the Ed/Lib program. I had forgotten about doing that. Thanks Mark!
