I just read that you can mess with the trim pots in the Tribute LP now it’s not working right…
“mess with” – opposite of “calibrate”
calibrated == working right
messed with == not
It’s working great now. I just had to back off on a few trim pots and not overturn them. The whole synth seems more alive and warmer. It’s like night and day.
and you voided your warranty- nice work ![]()
sir_dss: I thought you were joking! did you seriously open up your LP and randomly tweak around on some trim pots without any idea what you were doing??

PEOPLE: DON’T DO THIS!!! I mean, I can’t stop you; it’s your instrument… but as a professional synth tech, I highly advise NOT turning any trim potentiometers on a circuit board unless you at least know what said trim pot adjusts, and ideally what the “correct” setting for it should be.
there may be fat little leprechauns in the little phatty that might bite your nose, especially on st. patrick’s day. you have been warned.
i’m not gonna check if there’s a smurf in the murf.
