Trigger connector at MiniMoog D

I’m looking for bare s-trig connectors to fit into the rear trigger input jack of the MiniMoog D. With that I can make a cable to combine the MiniMoog D with a Rogue or possibly with a Voyager or a Theremin plus.
Can anybody help me herewith?

This might be a start. I can’t find the exact one you might need though.

Eric

thank you for the reply. It is hard to describe the connector I would need. It looks similar to an old loudspeaker connector with two poles but slightly larger.
I’ve found a photograph at an ebay add (it is the one above the 1/4" jack) http://cgi.ebay.ca/Minimoog-doepfer-or-any-1-8-CV-GATE-s-trig-converter_W0QQitemZ120507441001QQcmdZViewItemQQptZKeyboards_MIDI?hash=item1c0ecd9f69
is this helpful?
Anyway, many thanks for your reply.

Dear Erik,

thanks again for your reply. I’ve found now a type name for this trigger plug. It is obviously Cinch-Jones plug, part number P-302-CCT.
Unfortunatels Mouser indicated it as a discontinued item. Anyway I asked for a quote from them. Maybe they have one or a few on stock.

$27.00

Moog Voltage to
Switch Trigger Cable

This cable converts voltage levels to switch trigger signals to activate Moog envelope generators and other modules. It also allows our Keyboard Controller, Q960 sequencer and other modules to control a MiniMoog.

Male 1/4" plug on one end and a 2-pin Cinch/Jones plug on the other.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

Niko:
I bought about a dozen of those CJ plugs a year or so ago. If I have an extra one, it’s yours. However, getting it to Germany is another matter entirely. Let me check and I’ll get back to you…

Dear Erik,

many thanks for your reply. Yes, that is exactly what I’m looking for. Actually I would need two cables. Now the question how I can solve the logistic issues herewith?

Dear Trigger,

also many thanks for your reply. Again I’m interested in these bare plugs as well. For non immediate future purposes I would need maybe 10 of these plugs. Also here the question about the transfer towards the Munich area?

MCM Electronics seems to be the place to go. The individual CJ plugs are $2.65US (that’s about what I paid at my local parts house), and I’m sure they’re set up for international shipping. IMO, they’re the cheapest and best source for what you’re after.

Thank you all for the helpful replies. After several years of searching I now succeded in find a vendor for the desired Cinch Jones 538-P-302H-CCT rectangular power connector. I’ll get it via Mouser Electronics.
What a relief!

I think I’ve brought this up here before awhile back, but ill try my luck again. Does anyone know where I can find the reverse of this plug? Female 2 prong input to male 1/4" out? I’ve been looking forever. I want to be able to send the trigger OUT from my micromoog to my phaser and ringmod. Everybody has the male cinch jones plug but no female socket, wtf?

Have you considered building one yourself? Niko found the male C-J at Mouser, and I found one for him at MCM Electronics (see above). Chances are good that they’d stock females as well. The 1/4" TS and cable are easy to get. My guess is the cable you want isn’t commercially available.

I did browse those sites to see if they had female plugs but I didn’t see anything, but I was also doing that from my phone…so its possible I over looked it. I will check again tonight when I have a chance to use a real computer

Well, I have about 4 right now. If you strike out, I could mail one to you.

Like the ones here:

Yes! That’s exactly what I need, thanks. And sorry for hi jacking the thread Niko

Glad to be of help.

Will one of these CJ plugs without the wiring have the same effect as a dummy s-trigger?

If anyone out there is familiar with dubstep, I’m attempting to create a wobble bass using my model D to modulate a loop. But I can’t do this until i get my hands on one of those s-trigger dummy plugs.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Frank John

I appreciate that hi jacking of my thread. In the meantime I’ve ordered 10 pieces of this connector from Mouser (shipping procedure handled via my local Moog dealer Hieber-Lindberg in Munich). Should be enough for the rest of my life.
