triangle bassdrum on the RME

Hey,

Im strugling a bit with this, I want to use a filtered triangle as bassdrum and want to use the filter envelope, I guess, as pitch envelope.
Can I make the filter envelope actually leave the filter alone?

Hi,
The easy way is to switch off the oscillators and drive the filter to self-oscillation (resonance past 8 apprx). Then Use a low cutoff point for a deep drum sound and use a combination of the two envelopes to get anywhere from a short snappy kick towards a long 808-ish bassdrum. This is a sine-wave instead of triangle, but a tried and tested method.

thanks, I forgot to say, I already have the self oscillator bd up and running.
I want to use a filtered triangle for a “fatter sine” :slight_smile:

Easy.
Just set the AMOUNT TO FILTER control in the FILTER ENVELOPE section to zero (12 o’clock position).
