Touchscreen quirk

I’m using a korg electribe esx as a drum machine and i’m running the midi out of it to sequence the voyager.

Using the x axis to control osc 2 wave and the y for filter spacing.

when i use the touchscreen while touching the metal casing of the electribe, the parameters seem to double in voltage or something.

not really a problem. kind of convenient actually. so yeah. if you need a boost while using the touchscreen, just touch something metal.

Mmmm… capacitance…

I don´t know what capacitance is, but yes, something happens when you ground yourself while playing the touch surface.
I had noticed, that there was subtle but unpleasant noise-like modulation going on, when I was playing my TS “theremin”. But then I discovered, that if I touched the jack-plug on the back while playing, suddenly the sound was completely cleared up.
My question is now: Is there a way to get rid of the problem permanently, or do I need a earth cable with a metal clip that I can put on my toe/nose/ear?
Actually I would really like to get rid of this grounding problem, because I am totally in love with using the TS as a theremin: Pitch on X (scaled to 1.5 octave), filter on Y, volume on A and TS triggers the envelopes.

Here’s another suggestion for your ‘Theremin’ preset: Program a slight bit of LFO vibrato through the Mod Wheel bus, then program a Pot Map so that the Mod Wheel also controls the Master Volume (use Amount = 100%). Then you’ll have real two-handed control of the Theremin preset – much closer to the real thing.

Good suggestions. Though I like the vibrato to be non-lfo, and remember I have to use the other hand for touching the metal on the jack, haha. No seriously, it is cool to be able to play chords with the other hand. But of course it is something completely different than real theremin, but there is some unique features to plying the TS like this.
