Touchpad MIDI CC allocation problem [for RL, perhaps?]

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me why you can only allocate MIDI controllers 0 to 63 to the x and y axes of the touchpad. Almost all of my synths that use ccs seem to favour the top half of the range and I can’t use the touchpad with them as a result. Seems a rather strange decision, but I am hoping that it’s just some sort of oversight.

Hi Pierre,
that’s a good question. I remember Bob wrote this in the specification list.
I think the idea was to use the t.s. xya axes only for the pot controller numbers. The MIDI controller numbers higher than 63 are reserved for the switches. It’s possible to change that in the next software updates.

BTW, I miss a thread…

Rudi,

That’d be fantastic. And thinking about future updates, would it be possible to add individual oscillator wave shape to the programmable destinations for the two busses? I’ve often wanted to control one of the oscillator’s pulse width with the lfo while leaving the others static.

Where were you when you last had it?

Hi Pierre,
I made a test version for you. If you want to check it out send me an email.
Have fun,
Rudi

Done. Thanks very much, Rudi
