Bad title I know… can this be done? I’d like to record the midi info into cubase, ie; the potmapped filtersweeps etc that are all mapped to the screen. If the screen is controlling all these parameter at the same time as you go up/down, the x,y axis, You get my drift?
Although my finger could perhaps play how I would like it to sound, sometimes you can automate movement faster/more accurately then my finger could do.
I don’t have my manual in front of me so take this for what it’s worth.
If there are CC’s for the X,Y,A,G of the screen, use them. They are dedicated CV outs on the 351. You could use a convertor to go CV to MIDI. But it will be a huge bandwidth hog, like pitch bend and mod wheels X4.
thanks for that.
I’m looking into it right now. But if what you’re saying is true, then wouldn’t the movements be recorded into the daw if I have the midi channel set to record, and I’m preforming movements? Just as turning a knob would show up?
Without being able to verify that…it seems like it should. If a key or a pot or the pitch and mod wheels do it…certianly the touchpad does. I think the touchpad is part of the Midi brain anyway because I have noticed stepping when using it to control the Freqbox’s pitch. I could very well be wrong though.
