Thread for recordings you made with your voyager!

Yes, all of the sounds I programmed myself.

Any signal processing Paul? What MF’s if any are you running?

the modular is just direct into Logic, with no effects. The Voyager was recorded direct as well, but goes to a send with Logic’s Tape Delay and some fancy envelope processing of the delay. Just a limiter on the master bus to keep peaks at 0dBfS.
This song was recorded spontaneously, as I was just patching and decided to record it and post it online.

Usually my music is much more processed, with everything going through guitar pedals or my Moogerfooger racks, and plugins in the digital realm. However I don’t process my modular other than putting it in samplers and basic eq/compression.

Dude you are F*ckin joking me… I just downloaded your new album today.. I had no idea you guys were local. I’m originally from Los Angeles but moved to Cbus.. when are you playing again! I would love to see a show.. are you coming to this area.. Damn. I can’t believe it. Every group I like is from somewhere else or playing somewhere else.

anyway here are mine..

all synth duties and sound effects are the voyager.. although it stands out more in the background of this song but its heavily used just placed throughout and blended into the mix.

thanks a lot!! we dont play a lot of shows because of the whole gear situation, but we’ll play in cleveland the first week of july at the “Champagne of Fests” - first and last ohio show before relocating to your old neck of the woods (L.A.) otherwise a festival one off in chicago (8-10) in august and then the rural Voice of the Valley Festival in rural west virginia the weekend after.

enough about me though, lots of cool sounds and other stuff going on in this forum..glad to be on board w/other voyager heads!

Excuse the expression but it’s well placed for canoodling. The atmosphere of the first three minutes reminds me of Fjelltronen - Wongraven.

@magneticweb I like your song Double Helix; it reminds me of “One Of These Days” by Pink Floyd.

Cool I’ll try to make that show and drag a few friends! If you could pm me some info I’d greatly appreciate it. it keeps coming up as july 17/18th.

thanks klopfgeist! best compliment ever - i have a darkside tattoo on my arm.

sorry about the fest date, machinea. i had my dates confused..you have the correct July dates. there’s so much going on that i can’t remember it all between work and jams.

Hi. Our new album has Moog Voyager all over it.

It seems that i forgot to present my song “Stubenjungs” to you. Composed in respect to all boys and girls who stay home alone day and night just to do creative work. The harmonics are simple but sound jazzy anyway. Features a pathetical synth melody and a very emotionally played guitar outro (played by my friend bolle).

excellent thanks.. that is a better weekend anyway  the 4th is so over rated it just makes places harder to get too and more crowded.

I bought my voyager one year ago and fell in love with her. Yesterday i did’t have access to my voyager, so i unfortunately had to play with my old Quasimidi Sirius, a cheap digital synthesizer/groove station from Germany. It was an impressive experience because the year with the voyager teached me how to make funky oldschool sounds. The Sirius indeed sounds digital and the filter is crappy but i have to say that this stuff, made 100% with quasimidi sirius, is really funky shit:

I’m shure you’ll like it

i know im late to the party, but this is fantastic! Very inspiring, im gonna go play now…

Hi gang.

There’s Moog all over my solo electronic / ambient album, which I released last winter. And a whole bunch of other synths, too.

I love my Voyager!

Fascinating soundscapes, dodgy rhythms, strange harmonics, authentic piano/synthesizer sounds, i really like your album!

I recorded kind of ambient-nightmare-soundtrack (which is very non-psicolorish) yesterday. The analog poly-pads are single notes from the voyager that i stacked with my audio sequencer, the digital pads (i’m shure you’ll hear them) are simply dx7.

Luckily the voyager is NOT polyphonic, it would eat up my soul…

Little remix of a song using lead vocals (fx + layers) only with the Voyager & 909

Friends,

This video is a piece of satire that I made with the Voyager, Taurus, Logic, and iMovie. Now I hesitated posting it here because it does have the potential to be offensive, but this is a satirical piece of social commentary that features strong language.

After awhile of tossing the idea around about posting it on the Moog Forum, I present you with
Studio Gangstas

If anyone has any problems with it, please pm me and I’ll promptly remove it.

I used a couple of apple loops for the beats, a Turner Dynamic U9S for the vocals, Ran the Voyager through the 104z and ran the Taurus with no effects, everything into the board.
