The market for used non-vintage Moogs is dropping. Just watched 2 Phatty’s go for cheap. This Stage Edition went for $595.

And this SE2 for $775.

People just don’t have the extra cash to spare right now, I guess?
Good time to buy.
Yeah, if you have the cash saved up, now is the time. ![]()
I picked up that third voice RME for cheap! $1200, that’s about the lowest I’ve seen. Still looking for that fourth voice! ![]()
Man I don’t know how you do it but you have a history of smoking hot deals on Moog stuff ![]()
E
I was watching that os too, why would you let something that awesome go for that little ? I just dont understand
I guess its a combination of the fact that some people don’t know the market, coupled with the fact that the recession is really bad, coupled with the fact that maybe that particular seller doesn’t know how to maximize profits or gauge how people will bid.
But hey…its a steal nontheless…probably for just under wholesale prices.
Eric
I’d buy it if I had room for it.

I’ve watched 3 selects go for under $1900 and a Performer sold for $1700 yesterday. I guess like the housing market the used synth market has finally tanked as well. This economy sucks if you’re selling things but it’s a great time to buy.
V,
Thats something you just make room for. I mean, come on. I slept on the floor for like 6 years because I had a drumset in my room. My drumset got bigger, my sleeping blankets got shifted to a different location lol.
Now the drums are upstairs and the Moog is taking up more and more space.
Its all about sacrifice.
so Eric, what , in your mind, is a better way to maximize synth profits on Ebay? weekend endings? better item discription?
Matt,
John Scherer, CEO and founder of Video Professor… He’s the guy that gives away the free computer learning lessons. He will teach you how to buy and sell on Ebay and he will give it to you free!
Now he’s not going to tell you how to become the next millionaire selling an attic full of baseball cards, but he can guarantee you that he’ll teach you everything you need to know about Ebay, like cleaning out your garage and probably putting some money in your pocket at the same time.
Now he can do this because he knows that once you try his lesson on ebay, youll be so satisfied, that the next time you need to learn anything about computers, youll come back to Video Professor for all of your computer learning needs. And with over 55 lessons on all of todays most popular computer programs, He knows that theres more you’ll want to learn. Don’t forget…call now and he’ll send you ebay or any other lesson of your choise free.
So what have you got to lose, Try His Product.
I hate Ebay, mostly because I would be many thousands of dollars in debt if I used it.
Add the phrase “been in a smoke free studio”.
Put a reserve on it with a fair market price.
Good photos and great descriptions.
Smoke Free Studio is important for me. My buddy let me borrow his rack mixer and I never mounted it in my cabinet because it stinks. It feels filthy and smells like an ashtray.
Not that “Smoke Free Studio” actually means anything.
My Fathers Rhodes…the grill is prematurely yellowed, and theres a burn mark on a key where he dropped a ciggy.
Plus I think that the jacks will need cleaning more often.
My 2 pisos,
Eric
Am I the only non-smoker who likes the smell of cigarettes?
No, but that is because my dad smoked when I was a kid. I associate the smell with him coming home from work.
man, i think you may be the only person that likes the smell of cigs. i know smokers that don’t like the smell. i like the smell of cloves, some pipe tobacco, and wacky tobacky.
Smell and stains aside I’ve read that exposing electronics to a smokey environment will cause a build up of tar and gunk that can degrade components and solder joints over time. It also clogs vents and can result in heat issues. Though not being an electrical engineer I don’t know how much truth there is to it…

That guy reminds me of Dr. Phil.
