The Voyager Solar at Nova Musik is Cherry Wood?!

Hi,

I always considered the Moog sound to be amber and for example the Roland saw wave to be blue. This is of course my synethesthesia at work.

So I emailed Nova Musik asking for a photo of the Solar and also asked if they had one in maple and I got this response:

“We do not have any more picts for the solar… and at this moment there are no plans for maple. how ever i personally would love to see a maple solar so maybe it is something we could work on in the fure but the first and possible only run of the solars is the Cherry wood. We would not know about the maple version until these would sell out.”

So they are Cherry not black I think… which is MUCH better in my opinion!

They’re all grooving in a cave with a biodiversity of small furry animals.

Yeah I think its funny he says… We have no more pics…

huh? You can run out of digital photos?

hmmm.

That’s interesting. I’ve just been reading up on synesthesia, its a fascinating condition. Do you really have it?

Oh wode is me!

Cherry wood should look absolutely stunning with the orange wheels and panel!

Hi Oysterrock,

Yes I do have Synthestia… for me its not strange or anything because I had it since I was born… everyone noticed it when I was in elementary school and you my mother had to buy me a notebook for each subject like math, science, etc… and I insisted my mother buy a red one for Math because Math IS the color red and green for science and so forth…

Number and letters all have a specific color and in fact so do musical notes and sounds for example, high hits are yellow and white and a juno sound is blue and a bass is blackish… to me its very obvious… I guess Im a little nuts…

Fender Rhodes: Silver & Burgundy & some Orange & Pink…heheheh…
Voyager: reds, navy blues, yellows, blacks
MF102: Dark greens, Indigo, Silver
MF103: Golden Ylo, Vermillion, Clear Color (Water-like)

ummm…ima take a gamble at the mpc2000…gray, med blue…strictly amp & AD/DA converter tone quality…

i like this topic

Synaesthesia is a very weird phenomenon. It is estimeted that 1 in 25.000 person is a synaesthete. What it basically means, is that sensory centres in the brain have an additional (indirect) neuron, functioning as an external stimulus. Because of this indirect way of perceiving things, you can listen to smells, taste colors, see sounds blah, blah. True synaesthetes respond to external stimuli in exact the same way as they did years ago.

Anyone who wants to taste the waveforms of a Moog, listen to its panel blah blah maybe you should start wondering…

Those who want to mate (with a kind of love) are excluded.

Yes… it has remaining unchanged my entire life… the same colors that represented things as a child still are the same.

I’m a huge Minimoog fan! I have an Electrocomp-101 and a Roland SH3 (the original version which Moog sued Roland for).

I can’t wait for MusikMesse and my next Publishing check… !!!

Cherry wood and amber wheels/panel graphics. Very classy combination.

Moog if your listening! how about making the solar edition available as a rackmount to!
