The Moog Guitar has just received the prestigious READER’S CHOICE AWARD from Guitar Player magazine for Most Innovative Product. We are very honored to win this award. It means a lot to us that the readers chose to recognize us in this way.
We are very humbled by the growing list of awards The Moog Guitar has received: Electronic Musician Magazines 2009 Editor’s Choice Award, 2008 Summer NAMM “Best In Show” honors and a 2008 “Best of What’s New Award” from Popular Science magazine.
Interestingly enough, my Dan-O-Wah won the same award back in 2001, as Best Value. I find it intriguing that something that cost thousands less than a Moog Guitar, even hundreds less than a similar pedal from other companies, is capable of winning the same award. Congratulations Moog!
No EricK, I am merely stating that the Dan-O-Wah got a similar award, although it was for best value. It kind of surprised me that the Moog Guitar got an award similar to the lowly Dan-O-Wah. It would be interesting to hear the Moog Guitar through the Dan-O-Wah; though anyone with a Moog Guitar could afford a much better wah pedal.
But really though, if the best that comes out is the crybaby wah and they give that pedal props, then something like the Moog Polysynth comes out and they give it props, then its cool.
What are you talking about? “The same award?” “Best Value” and “Readers’ Choice” are totally different awards. Your post doesn’t make sense. I’m sorry, I keep deciding not to post, but it sounds to me like you’re putting down Moog.
