the headphone volume

is the level of the headphone output is much higher than that of the
main out??
if not what could be the reason that i get higher volume from the headphone output?
thanks

The answer is yes, it should be. It needs to be able to drive headphone drivers, however small. The line out is just that “line level” and intended to be amplified.

You ‘could’ amplify the headphone out but it wouldn’t be as clean or sound as good at volume.

I’ve heard of people taking the headphone out signal and pump it back into the Voyager to create sort of an overdriven signal (sounds crazy, I know). I never tried it; not sure I like the idea!

I just read that you can cause damage to the circuits by doing this. Take the right output and feed it to the external input instead for the same effect.
