That warm Moog sound.

Here is a piece I did for a challenge on another web forum. It is entirely MoogerFoogers recorded in stereo in one pass. No other synths, effects, multitracking or processing. (Watch your levels!)

Nice Job. Keep 'em coming!

Cool, but you had some serious digital distortion going there, might want to watch your levels.

Actually, that was analog distortion from the 104Z. (Which is why the distortion is in one channel) I overdrove the hell out of it cause I couldn’t see the input led where I was standing and it sounded cool in the headphones. The levels never went higher than -8db in the recorder. I was watching closely because I didn’t want to use compression.
But the idea of the exercise was to make the sounds with effects only. This was brought on by a post elsewhere of someone feeling like it was cheating to use effects in sound creation. So we are doing sound creation only using effects. There are some interesting things going on in that thread.

That sounds great! Who needs a synth . What was the order and which MFs did you use?

I used 1 CP-251, 1 MF-101, 2 MF-102, 1 MF-103, 2 MF-104Z, 1 MF-105 and 1 MF-107.
The Self resonating filter was feed into the 251 and mixed with noise and fed out to the rest of the chain. The Murf was the split point for the ‘stereo’ field then out through the Ring Mods and then the delays.
