I recently bought a LP and in needing of some advice. I’m completely new to Moog so these questions are over my head. On my phatty the first oscillator wave and level can not be selected. is this normal? As with amount and LFO rate in the modulation. Do I need more components for this and if so whats the best thing I can do? Sorry if these have been covered before. I searched around and couldnt find anything on here. Cheers!
So, if you press the “OSC 1 LEVEL” button then turn that big knob right below “Oscillator”, nothing happens? For testing, try the “CA Calibration” preset (between presets 99 and 00). This preset only OSC 1 is active. Select OSC 1 LEVEL and turn the knob. Does it lower in volume? Do the same with WAVE. Does the sound change? For the LFO, in order to hear it’s effects, the MOD WHEEL needs to be pushed up. In Calibration, select LFO RATE and turn the knob to 12 o’clock. Now push the MOD WHEEL up all the way. Next, select AMOUNT and turn the knob up all of the way. Use the Destination to cycle through the different options.

No more components are needed. You can always do a factory restore from the menu options if you bought it used and want a clean slate. All presets will be restored to original.
See the thing is I press the buttons for OSC 1 and wave and LFO and the lights don’t even come on at all. Nor does the master button.
And if it helps, for example if I go to preset 04, the wave under OSC one comes on and I can adjust it, but if I go to OSC 2 wave then try to go back to the first I cannot select it. As goes for all the other functions I’ve stated. I’m dumbfounded by this.
