In the absence of the highly anticipated T3 users manual, I have just a few questions.
Is Osc 2 a destination for such things as noise and LFOs, and does it even have a noise source?
Sample and hold? (if not this isn’t an issue)
I was wondering if you could send the Arpeggiator to a single osc or if it really works that way.

Thanks for posting yet another excellent question about the Taurus III Bass Pedals. To answer your latest question about the pedals, since you obviously need these answers BEFORE the pedals ship and BEFORE the manual is finished, it’s so simple … here’s how it will work. You’ll simply take a standard Fetzer loop from the OSC 2 Control layer, and you’ll route that through the onboard series of custom trace eliminators that were modeled after the original Taurus I circuitry … these new trace eliminators are padded with the latest noise reducing Takion shielding, yes, but with a solid state Helios RINSE matrix that overrides the inevitable gated decay factors inherent in analog mother boards like those employed on Taurus III (the standard is an 8 Ohm filter, except for the European models). Then, after carefully calculating the distance between yourself and the warmest point of the southern edge of the nearest body of water, you will take the square root of your date of birth as expressed in Gregorian Numeric Pentameter and divide that number by the number of times you have posted to this blog, and there’s your answer. Don’t you see? It’s all about ball bearings these days, fellas. Now, just prepare that low C pedal with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads, set your electrical current to 220, or 221, whichever is your preference, and move your clothes down onto the lower peg immediately after lunch, before you write your letter home, if you’re not getting your hair cut, unless you’ve got a younger brother who is going out this weekend as the guest of another boy, in which case, collect his note before lunch, put it in your letter after you’ve had your hair cut, and make sure he moves your clothes down onto the lower peg for you.
Sorry, Eric. I’m just playing, dude. Your postings have been great. At least they ARRIVE regularly, which is more than I can say for the pedals. I sure would like the BASS PEDALS to arrive soon. I was among the very first to buy them – and trust me, I am just as passionate and as pumped about them as you are. I am a Taurus FANATIC. So, great questions, but frankly I’m tired of the tech forum … I’ll figure all this crap out when I get them out of the box and STEP ON THEM. I have GIGS, and I have THE NEED FOR LOW END!!! I want to PLAY THEM NOW. I want to HEAR THEM IN MY STUDIO AND WITH MY BAND. I love the Moog people I have seen in the videos, and I love their passion for the pedals, and I know we all have to be patient. But I am starting to feel like we’re a bunch of guys in Spock costumes at a Star Trek party that has gone on for too long. I am more of a Captain Kirk kind of guy … you know, he never read the manuals. I just want the pedals on the floor, and I’ll figure out how they work by STEPPING ON THEM.

I like Eric too, but I want the 1st set - we ALL do! How 'bout Moog sends them out in the order they were bought - sounds fair to everyone, even Eric. BTW, the Taurus use 2 Fetzer valves, each hand-made from unobtainum & filled with Andorian henway fluid.
I don’t think osc 2 can be modulated separately. When I played the T3 it seemed like you can’t tweak the oscillator parameters individually.

Well first I must say that I appreciate your try, but the correct response would have been to offset the kuzushi of the Uke in the 24db filter while exponentially decreasing the hum in the manifold thats horizontally juxtaposed to the bi lateral transistor array and adjascent to the capicitance of the feedback particulate loop. You almost had me going there for a second, but obviously you misunderestimated the contention of the absense of potentiometers in the block diagram’s flowchart. Anyone with a tinge of flatus could have determined that, right?
But seriously, Takion pulses are for amateurs. If the polarity of the beat frequency is dependant on the hindenberg compensators, then the flux capacitors in the overdriven filter will have a charachteristic of the T2, and not the T1, which clearly Moog nailed the sound of, and not to the abandonment of the Hz/V architecture whatsoever. A simple step on the pedals twice removed from the burn-in shelf will definaltely attest to the Z- pinch that occurs after proper calibration and tuning. Duh!
But I see where you could have gone wrong because you mistepped on your Picard Manuever and instead of getting your nails properly manicured, the pedigree of your progeny recapitulates your ontogeny, which speaks volumes about how easy it would be to contest the amount of hopps and barley in your latent PCB’s positronic matrix.
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for the kind words. I share your anticipation. I see your point about waiting until you get the pedals. I however, make it a point to try to learn how to play an instrument before I actually have one in my arms (or in this case under my feet). What is to be learned from the manual upon it’s release will be very valuable as I wait for the brown truck to deliver me into Moog heaven.
Oh, when they actually ship the unit and you are waiting for the truck to arrive, that is more of a late-moderate stage Moog Purgatory, depending on what the tracking number states. WHen it is “out for delivery” is when the symptoms are the most noticable.
Seriously though, can anyone answer my original question?
