Taurus Factory Modifications?

Okay, its been enough time. Has there been ANY discussion at Moog about offering Mods?

Right off the bat I would mention the obvious AUDIO INPUT and CV OUTS.

Being able to get a pitch output for the arpegiator like on the phatty would be killer.
Being able to get that Midi to CV conversion would be nice also to sync software sequencers to hardware ones.

I agree with this statement!

how much would parts + labor + shipping be round trip from Austin, TX?

Good point. Probably twice as much as it cost to ship my LP from Illinois. So, like, $160? :open_mouth:

I think shipping on the voyager from Arkansas was like 50 bucks or so, I don’t remember.

Labor, 179 dollars maybe (based on the etherwave plus mod)

Anyone else want to voice some support?

Well I think shipping from and back to the UK really prohibits any chance of me getting mine modded. Personally I’d prefer some more work on the software side. Apart from fixes there’s the once-promised step sequencer and maybe some Minitaur features could be transferred too (like key tracking perhaps?).

I think hardware mods are more feasible because we actually pay for that to be done. Amos is limited to what he can do because of various roatating projects mixing with new ones.

I agree with you about the software though, but I don’t see why that can’t go on concurrently.

As long as it’s not Amos doing the hardware mods too, sure no prob.

a simple upgrade kit, like with the theremine, would be enough. think adding extaudio in would be the easiest, cv out also shouldn’t be the biggest thing.
drilling a hole, any servicecentre or semiprof can do…
