I have Minitaur Editor working with Taurus 3
All that is required on OSX is this step
1: change InFo,plist
com.moogmusic.Minitaur_Editor to
com.moogmusic.Taurus_Editor
disclaimer --not all the Minitaur controls work obviously but all the controls common to both work 100%
Looks like it would be a fairly simple task to get the minitaur editor working better for the t3. There are parameters defined with midi ccs in main.lua that the t3 uses and some it doesnt. The midi chart is in the t3 manual. For example the minitaur parameter vel_sense_vol uses midi cc 90 which on the t3 is the arpeggiator on/off cc. Thats why lots of the minitaur editor presets trigger the t3 arpeggiator. The preset files appear to use the same parameter definitions. All this is easily do-able. The bulk of the overhead for a t3 editor is in graphic design.
I wonder how much of what the minitaur does “under the hood” could be programmed into a t3 sysex update. Amos?
which opens up another possibility
Why not use the Minituar hardware as an acttual controller for the T3
Minituar V2 allows midi out over USB
All it would take is a custom USB cable (hard to get) and bingo you have a great hardware controller for T3
is there an adaptation for the t3 yet ?
wow that would be so nice…
indeed some cc mapping changes and it should work.
please… i already sent a request to the software developper of the editor, but no reply whatsoever , not very polite afcourse , but quick forgiven when the thing starts rolling
I ended up changing a handful of the cc values to agree more with the T3. Most of it is implemented except for the arpeggiator. Works pretty good. I also used a png editor to change the front panel graphics. If anyone wants to check it out let me know. Wait… am I allowed to do that? Moog? Amos?
