# Taurus 2 Slider cleaning

I recently got a Taurus 2 module and it sounds great really love this synth, the only problem with it are the sliders are full of gunk and although they all work they are not all smooth and require some cleaning.
I personally have never serviced any synth or done any DiY so i was thinking i might try and tackle these pots before i have to send of off to a pro because cleaning shouldn’t be that hard i don’t think?
I was thinking of trying some cotton buds and alchol and just gently rubbing the sliders to see if i can get some of teh crap off making them smoother?
Is there a specific way that cleaning of sliders should be done?

Hi RobH
You have to remove all the PCB from the housing, pull off all the caps first, and the remove all muddy foam inside that has been deteriorating through the years, then take a spray and blow into the sliders and move them back and forth, and then listening if they work agai;n afteryou’ve been set the PCB back and all the caps properly =\> think it’ll will work then again…
You can’t avoid removing the rotten foam and the glibbering stuff around…
