curiosity is getting the better of me with regards to the “talking bass” patch that is used as an example on page 22 of the CP-251 user manual..
anybody got any soundclips of this using bass guitar please??
its going to be a while before i can afford a 102 to add to my arsenal but maan would i love to hear what this patch sounds like!!

Its pretty neat. If I knew the principles behind how to do it. For example, what aspects of the waveform come together for that “yeah”. The voyager will do that by itself. I think a squarer wave has more harmonics to give it that yeah, because, as you can hear, the bass guitar doesn’t give it enough to work with in the lower register. I tried a sawtoth and it wasn’t as clear either. So, its worth figuring out how and why it does that.
If the synth had a tounge it would be a nice speech synth lol. COnsidering that it will make almost any sound our mouth (filter) can make.
