T3 v112 beta firmware, if you care to try it out

just got mine today…wow!

serial # 212 ha ha! (almost) 2112 (if u share the 1)

ill try the beta just as soon as I can…but first, I have to know…

is “TAURI” really the plural of Taurus??? LOL

Congrats miamigroove, I’m around the block from you at # 218.

They’re pretty amazing, aren’t they?

I haven’t noticed any problems with mine, but I’ve only had a little while to mess with it. The preliminary report is HOLY SH*T FREAKING AWESOME!! but if I find any issues, I’ll send a message to Amos.

Amos, any word on the next fw revision? Will it have a fix for my re-boot bug?
Thanks,
Rich W.

Well I have tried this beta all day with no problems yet. The only slight change I would make is that when saving patches it’s odd that you can select A1-A4: as these cannot be overwritten why have them as an option when saving?

I had a problem with the transpose in 1.11, but seems OK in 1.12.

Just got back from the Musikmesse, so firmware’s been on hold… we’re working on making sure there will be no further reset bugs. I’ll keep you all posted as things progress.

Cheers,

Amos

I have a similar arp bug as superd2112. However I found that if I have an arp running and press the Pitch and and Filter buttons to engage the Mod wheel, when I move the Control wheel it jumps one note an octave up. It only seems to happen if the control wheel is towards max of its movement..

OK I’ve managed to crash them again when using Transpose. Not sure of the exact steps I made, sometimes it’s fine. I was hitting Transpose as normal - and instead of being silent when I hit a pedal it sounded the note. Then the note just locks and drones for ever untill you switch it off. I had been doing a fair bit of editing to the Taurus I preset - not sure if that has any bearing.

Sounds like my issue exactly. If I remember, the transpose lights were also doing the “wrong” thing i.e. flashing when they shouldn’t. And when I tried to play up the pedal board it was like the scaling didn’t work properly.

Edit: now, where’s that step sequencer!

Well I installed v112RC1 today and calibration is not effective. First time took over an hour. I did it twice and I get inconsistent beat rates on every key. Both times I noticed it would sit on a note for a long time.

Calibration was good out of the factory - help!

I don’t know if this has been previously mentioned, but a MIDI CC to turn on and off the NOTE LATCH function would be hella boss.

CC89 should do it. If it doesn’t work in your current firmware, it certainly does in version 1.12.

I am just writing up some documentation for the new Taurus firmware update, and I will post a link here in just a bit. This will be v1.12 RC 3 (release candidate number 3) and I think this one is ready for prime time.

If we can get some good testing over the next few days, I’ll do an official release next week.

Cheers!

edit: woot, it’s my 2^10th post!

OK here are links. I will post a more eye-catching thread in a moment.

I will try this out today if I get time…no problems with the previous 1.12 have showed up on my unit, as of now. I’ll try this release out.

I’ve been running it for several hours now, and it appears to be a winner. All of the bizarre tuning issues have been resolved, the arpeggiator and footswitch issues appear to have been fixed, and I can’t find any faults at all thus far.

Nice work Amos!

Much better - no more tuning issues. Thanks Amos!!!
