reading the service manual I asked myself which event triggered the
‘inhibit’ function of the 930 PSU? Does anybody know that?

It’s a remote shutdown input for the power supply.
Refer to the LM723 application notes for more information.
On the Moog, I have no idea what it was intended for.
Some guesses: a remote on/off switch, automatic temperature or humidity shutdown, live performance “panic switch”, pre-usage warm-up timer or a master switch for powering several cabinets with one switch.
Your guess is as good as mine. 
Ah ok, these are good points. I also thought of a temperature supervising function, but all other points might be as well.
