Sysex problem

Hope this hasn’t already been answered… the search function isn’t very helpful

I’m trying to send current preset to save my patch in Cubase.

My other synth works fine in that matter.

When I push store, the sending message lasts for like 0.001 second…

No midi gets recorded…

It’s the only buggy thing with my slimphatty… everything else is amazing. Especially the new firmware with arp sync!

Thanks for your help, I really need to be able to save my patches this way.

this should work fine; I’ll check it today. Try using MidiOx (if you’re on a Windows PC) or SysEx Librarian (Mac OSX) to receive the sysex data, to see if it’s there.
Presets are very small, 387 bytes, so it should be almost instant… but you should see the data there, too.

Check the midi filter settings in the preference dialog. The sysex checkbox is probably set.

I’ll try Midi Ox

As I said, it works fine with my other synth…

I’ll post my results with your suggestion

Thank you

I guess I’m not using the software properly or maybe there is a way to prepare the synth to receive sysex???

It receives a dump but it’s not the sound I saved…

:frowning: I really need this to work! Thanks for your help

I found another program called Send Sx and now it works!!!

But there is one last problem:

I have to save both the preset and the changes I make to it, for example the ADSR…

which makes it really strange…

I guess I would have to store the preset before sending it… which would be useless!!!

The point is to not lose the factory presets!

I’m sorry; the function you’re looking for is not implemented.
If I had gotten this message a little sooner, I could have added it to firmware v3.1.
You can do what you’re trying to do, using the SoundTower editor/librarian software…

or you could save the factory presets as sysex and then save your own sounds to the Phatty.
