Switched-On Goodbye Bread

I made this Moog version of an awesome garage-rock record called Goodbye Bread, by Ty Segall. The playing is pretty sketchy, I was just learning the tunes as I went and to be honest I’m not much of a keyboardist. But I hope some of you will enjoy the results.

The bass was all unvarnished Taurus 3 and the rest Voyager XL, though I didn’t really use the patch panel much, any Voyager could theoretically do 99% of this. I had the Freqbox in the insert and ran a mono signal through the ring mod–>phaser–>delay. A lot of the nutso guitar sounds came via overdriving the different 'foogers to different degrees in combination with cranking the phaser mod really fast and hard, a little bit of RM and of course the magic of the Freqbox.

Happy birthday Bob!

You’re “not much of a keyboardist” and you own a Voyager XL? You must have a lot of extra cash lying around.

Well, for what it’s worth, I think you are a wonderful keyboardist. You’ve got soul in your fingers  . Also, I really like this. Really great musicianship, production, and overall vision. You really pulled this one off!
