Hello, my voyager has an issue now where sounds drone forever, unless i have my sustain knob on VCA all the way down.
Does anyone have insight about how I can go about getting this fixed, how much it might cost? I tried email emailing moog but got not no reply. Thanks.
I wish it was that, sadly it is not. Any other ideas? Is doing some sort of reboot , or recalibration an option? I’ve never updated my voyager or anything like that since I’ve bought it.
This seems like a hardware issue to me though. I know theres a local guy who is good at fixing analog synths in my area (Boston, MA), but it would be nice to have an idea of whats going on before going to him.
I would contact Moog Tech Support. I have an issue with Osc 2 being intermittent. I sent it to Moog but it worked fine the entire week and a half they had it, so sent it back. 2 months later it came back. This time I dont want to send it back, so they are sending me the suspect discrepant parts (an IC in the mixer section) which is known to occasionally go bad.
Unfortunately intermittent problems are the hardest to figure out. You can try opening her up and blowing it out with a can of air. Maybe there is a piece of FOD in there…
There is a possibility the digital board under the keyboard is starting to fail. Call or email tech support. If it is the uninstall/install is pretty easy.
Good luck
