My RME sustained a note and even when it was given a new batch of notes it still carried on, how do it do that?
Likely a missing MIDI note off message.
No, not that, at least that would be a first, unlikely, this happened several times. Anyway I was asking how to duplicate this, I am assuming there are certain settings in the patch that allow this.
MC is probably right on this. To confirm, trigger the RME from an external keyboard. Hold the note down and unplug the MIDI connector to the RME. If you get the same result that prompted your original message, then it’s a missing MIDI ‘Note off’ command. (You may have to cycle power on the RME to ‘unstick’ the note.)

What happens when you hit the MASTER button? Pushing the MASTER button clears the MIDI note buffer.
