So I’ve had my Sub37 for about a week now. I’m in the process of incorporating it in with my live rig (Kronos as my midi “master,” controlling patch change and clock). All of my other synths work fine with me sending midi clock to sync arpeggios, but I’m having an issue with the Sub37 I haven’t been able to figure out.
As an example, I created a random arp patch for Duran Duran’s Hungry Like The Wolf. My drummer has pretty good time, but I occasionally need to drive the tap tempo button on the Kronos to keep the arp in sync with him. Before I saved my patch, I lit up the “sync” button in the arpeggiator section. I saved the patch and if I leave and come back to it, the light is no longer on. When I play it, it goes at the tempo where the rate knob is set. But if I hit the sync button twice it will sync up and play in sync. If I go and change the tempo on the Kronos (say, with the tap tempo button), the Moog doesn’t seem to register the change until I hit that sync button twice again. Is this by design or am I missing something? It receives program changes just fine. It’s listening and transmitting on CH14 and I have send program change disabled and everything else turned on. I cannot, for the life of me figure out why it’s not working the way I expect it to. My Prophet 12 works just fine in this scenario.
