Just bought a Sub37 a few days ago. First thing I did was update the firmware and download the editor. When the firmware update completed, I tried opening the Standalone app and it says it can’t connect and to check MIDI settings on the instrument. However, if I open Logic and the Sub37 VST editor, it connects and syncs perfectly fine.. I’ve tried deleting the standalone app and reinstalling, but still no luck. Any ideas? I’d like to be able to use the editor without opening a DAW every time.
Taking your post, letter for letter. You updated the firmware, then downloaded and installed the editor. Did you install the new firmware that came with the editor?
I guess this would actually need its own topic but I’ll try it here. I have the same issue like the people above but the other way around: The stand alone works fine but the VST doesn’t.
The strange thing it that it actually DID work from the day the editor came out until today. It says it cannot find the hardware when used in Ableton.
I tried it with different USB cables and with DIN MIDI. All configurations worked perfectly in stand alone mod but did not in Ableton VST mod.
Any ideas? would be really cool as I already started several projects with the editor.
I actually got it working! This was my problem. For some reason in the standalone app Moog Sub 37 was in red, and I clicked the dropdown and selected Sub 37 again and it suddenly works. Weird bug but it works now!
