As per the title - I am very impressed with the new sub-Phatty, from the videos and reviews that I have read, but I really want just a rackmount Moog, as I already have a Korg Oasys and I dont have a lot of space… I was considering the Voyager Rack… but of course its a lot more money than the Sub-Phatty… I wonder if Moog will release the Sub-Phatty as a rackmount ? All opinions welcome. Thanks !!

Will there be a Sub Phatty RME? I’d bet on it, but probably not right away. The rack mount versions of the Voyager and Little Phatty were released 3 and 5 years after the keyboard versions, respectively. The size of the Sub is just about perfect for rack mount already so it’ll be an easy transition for Moog to make. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if they designed it with a rack mount in mind, so I don’t think it’ll take too long. Give it a year or two, three tops. I’d also expect a price between the Minitaur and Slim Phatty, maybe $749. Worth waiting for if you can.
For what it’s worth (probably not much) there’s a petition for this that’s very easy to find if you search for it.
