I’m a new Sub Phatty user (new to synths in general) and new to the forums, which I’ve found a great help so far. Here’s my dilemma: my oscillator wave knobs (both 1 and 2) stop working past 2 o’clock; they don’t just stop shaping sound, rather the sound cuts out entirely.
Just downloaded the new firmware, but this didn’t seem to help. There’s perhaps something else obvious that I’ve missed, but I’m at a loss. My knowledge of synths is very novice, so I appreciate any and all help!
if this happens on every preset, that’s a calibration issue, those knobs can be recalibrated. email techsupport@moogmusic.com and ask them for instructions, it’s pretty simple to do.
otherwise this could be normal.. if you have the mod source set to filter envelope and the wave mod amount all the way up… it’s possible to modulate the wave shape into a 0% pulse wave, which is basically a flat line… this can be useful for modulation effects where you want the sound to go in and out of silence rhythmically, for example.
