I’m using my Sub Phatty to play bass lines and sending midi out to a Nord Electro 4 HP to trigger the same notes in the left hand of the piano. The problem is that the Sub Phatty keyboard, with its lighter action, is too sensitive and triggers the notes in the piano to be far louder than what I’m playing in my right hand on the piano. Is there a way to limit the velocity of the Sub Phatty keyboard to a specific value or to adjust its dynamic range?
I am sure there is no way to scale the velocity to different playing styles. After all, the SubPhatty is not designed to act as a master keyboard. On a master keyboard, one would expect to adjust the velocity sending by selecting different velocity slopes.
If you have a iPad you could route the MIDI though the iPad and use an app called MidiBridge. It has a velocity curve filter.
