Sub Phatty - CV Out Mod?

Does anyone know if Moog will offer the CV Out Mod for the Sub Phatty? The same that they do for the Little Phatty?

According to Amos, Moog is “contemplating it, but it will require further investigation”.

Give it CV out, and I will find the money to get one. :smiley: Might not be able to justify a Voyager, or even another Phatty with CV out, but this is a lot cheaper than either one of those.

I can’t imagine Moog has not already addressed this in some fashion behind the scenes. They know everyone wants that now. I don’t think it will require the same reengineering that the LP needed. I can see them releasing some sort of vx/mp201 hybrid that takes Midi out from the synth. Also it seems Moog never releases two things at once. I bet we see something within a year, ether a mod or stand alone solution.

disappointed that the Sub Phatty has no CV/Gate out… :confused: this would be a nice feature.

I use a Novation Bass Station for converting MIDI to CV/Gate to drive my Roland SH-09
and was hoping I’d be able to use the Sub Phatty the same way (so I could sell the Bass Station, to help pay for the Sub Phatty)

I’m not entirely sure how a straight CV Out breakout box would necessarily work. Then again, I may be just tired.

What I’d like to see are individual CV jacks for each oscillator. Even with a LP style mod, I don’t think this would be possible. Wait… this might work for my goal of 4 voice polyphony without having to use only Moog synths –

Midi Out of Sub Phatty > Midi In on Vermona Quad for polyphonic control > 4 CV outs to modular oscillators AND Sub Phatty CV in > Audio out of Modular Oscillators and Sub Phatty > into various modules, mixer and output.

A full cv breakout box would be great. May as well not leave out any connections!

Where would one hook up a CV breakout box the Sub? There is no accessory port like the Voyager.

I think the port would be a factory mod just like CV outs on the LP…?
