Sub Phatty cutoff knob "broken"

Hi all. First time posting.

I bought this unit 2.5 months ago and have been enjoying it very much. I have not brought it out of the house and, as with all of my gear, i treat it gently.
I noticed, this evening, that the filter was not closing completely with the cutoff knob turned fully anti-clockwise. it’s also loose enough that it does not come to a hard stop, but continues to turn with slight pressure until the filter fully opens again.

  1. is this a known problem with some of these units?
  2. Haven’t yet opened it up, but do you suppose there is an easy fix, or is it tough to get at the pot in there?
  3. Bought it from Long & Mcquade here in Canada - anyone know if they ever bend the 30 day return policy?

Very disappointing. I was loving this thing.
