SUB 37 works in Standalone, but doesn't send signal into DAW (Cubase)

Hi Guys, I updated to Mac OS Catalina, and to Cubase 10.5.20, after that my DAW doesn’t seem to receive output signal from the Moog anymore, but the Soundcard does, as it works in Standalone. I tried to fix it, but didn’t find the mistake yet. Would be awesome if someone knows what it is. Best, Toby

Hi Toby. I don’t use Mac OS Catalina but rather Mac OS Mojave. I found that when I upgraded from High Sierra to Mojave that, the first time I used Cubase, I was asked “Do you want to use the microphone”. Of course, I said no because I had not intention of using the built-in Mac microphone in a studio full of SM57’s, Rode’s etc. Bad choice. It appears that in Apple-speak, “microphone” means “soundcard”.

The happy news is that this mistake is reversible if you go to /preferences/Security & Privacy/Privacy and highlight Microphone in the left pane and then in the right pane you should see Cubase. Click the tickbox and you should be good to go.

Hope this resolves your problem. It was pretty frustrating for me until I stumbled across the solution on the web.
