Hello, new to this forum and a happy new sub 37 owner!
I’ve searched through the forum so if I have missed it I do apologise.
I’m having difficulty syncing the sub 37 with a Elektron Machine Drum mkii
It all works, but when I try to use the arpeggiator on the sub 37 with the sync button pressed to sync with the external midi clock (machine drum) the sub 37 goes dead.
Ive been through the menu’s and adjusted everything to see what happens and nothing seems to work.
Any ideas or something obvious I’m missing?

I have my Sub 37 receiving clock from Elektron’s Analog Rytm, I know when I press the sync button and press a key of the Sub 37 when a sequence from the AR is running, nothing happens. To start the sequencer on the Sub 37 I have to press stop on the AR, hold down a key on the Sub 37, then press play. With latch on the sequence will start playing in sync with the AR. I don’t know if this is the same issue you’re having?
btw when I do press that key on the Sub 37, nothing happens until I then hit play again on the AR
Yes that seems to be how it works. I have mine synced to a an Analog Rytm also. When you are syncing to external it will not play until it receives a start signal from the AR. To play again from the keyboard without the AR running a pattern I would need to turn off the sync function. Alternatively I could run and mute the AR’s sound if I just wanted the tempo clock synced.
