Sub 37 - USB MIDI In Port Dies when using PB wheel - Bug?

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Send MIDI in data from sequencer to Sub 37 USB port on channel 9.
  2. Send MIDI out data from Sub 37 USB port to sequencer on channel 10.
  3. Start sequencer.
  4. While sequencer is playing move the pitch bend wheel back and forth.
  5. Notice hung notes. Notice MIDI in data stops and Sub 37 port disappears.
  6. Send MIDI panic message to stop hanging notes.
  7. After restarting the Sub 37, the MIDI in port comes back.

This seems very similar to this person’s issue in this thread: http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&hilit=usb&p=136147&t=22396

I have already tried turning off ECHO USB IN and ECHO DIN IN. And, I’ve tried multiple USB ports and a dedicated USB 2.0 PCIe card.

My other synth (Virus) works fine with MIDI USB. But, something seems to be wrong with the Sub 37’s USB MIDI. Maybe still some bugs to be sorted.

same here but only in the USB mode. but with midi cable conect no Problem.

what firmware version are you each using?

this is listed at the bottom of the last page of the Globals menu.

1.0.6. Also happend on 1.0.4.

had a similar issue with the Sub Phatty, but found that my sequence were lacking note-off commands, once I added note-offs the problem was gone.
perhaps same with Sub37?

i have the same Problem with every Firmware till 1.06.
