Sub 37 : Tap-Tempo in CV GATE

Hello,

As i will purchase a FS-1 footswitch, i’m wondering if …

In CV MAPPING (GLOBAL MENU 2.1 of FW 1.1.0), GATE can be assigned to ARP SYNC : Is it just an ON/OFF switch or the whole front panel button’s functions ? Anyone tried this ?
Actually, is it possible to tap-tempo the Sub 37 with a footswitch directly ?

Another question : FILTER CV assignation don’t appear in the CV MAPPING menu, is it just because PITCH, VOLUME and GATE seems to be enaugh or is there another reason ?

Hi gian77,

My understanding is that the FILTER CV In is different than the other CV Ins in that it stays analog all the way to the Filter Cutoff, and thus, is unable to be remapped via software.

On the plus side, you can modulate the FILTER CV In at audio speeds.

I just tried it and it seems that GATE, when CV mapped to ARP SYNC, only has the ARP SYNC On/Off function.

But I agree completely that TAP TEMPO would be an awesome choice for CV MAPPING/GATE!

Thanks for your responses, it’s exactly what i wanted to know :wink:

For Tap-Tempo, maybe a further FW update will be implemented with this functionality :stuck_out_tongue:

Before that, maybe the trick could be done by using the foot-switch to set the master DAW tempo (got assignable PEDAL IN on the MIDI interface) where the Sub 37 will be synced to … for studio it’s ok, but not really practical for people playing Live or/and with no computer :open_mouth:
