I prefer silver panel as well. And wood cheeks don’t look good on a chassis like that. Sub Phatty looks delicious. Hopefully Sub 37 will come in the same design.
While I definitely think my Sub Phatty looks sexy in silver, I MUCH prefer the black faceplate of the Sub 37. That said, I would prefer a non tribute edition that has the black/gray rubberized end cheeks and black rear/side panel to match. Something much like the LP color scheme.
So when they say it’s limited, are they talking just about the Tribute edition? Then releasing a non-tribute edition?
Seems to be what a lot of people think but then they did say they were only manufacturing them for a year so maybe it is just the tribute edition?
I didn’t like the black at first but the look has grown on me. If the wood panels are gonna get ditched for a standard version then I’d def prefer the silver tho’.
wood is good!
if the stage edition had more ins and outs then I would be all over that… our pick up a used tribute and have it modded with the extra I/o
as done one else said the Sub37 is 95% of what I want from a moog synth ( or any synth!). I’m jonesing pretty hard for it but I think most of that is coming from not having my voyager and waiting for my new modules
What I really want is to see is the Sub architecture expanded up to the level of the Voyager. Plus make it full poly with maybe 8 voices . Add more knobs and 61 keys with poly after touch. Now I’m getting greedy
I think the wood sides are nice, and the black panel is cool too, but I would definitely buy a Sub 37 in its standard Black/Silver look without a doubt if it is made available.
Why not make the wooden parts as an option for those who want? Maybe a black panel too? It is a great way to make us pay for upgrades! :=)
The tribute model is unique anyway, so I don’t see why it should be a problem to sell a standard Sub 37 with som extra options available for those who want it.
My only wish is for a larger keyboard, at least the one that the Voyager has, but preferably a 61-key version (but I guess that will be in a polyphonic Moog..).
Actually, when composing I tend to reach for other keyboards although the (Anniversary) Voyager stands next to the computer, so it does make an impact on how much you use an instrument.
The XL is nice. For polyphonic playing a 61-keyboard is just less limiting.. To be honest, the small keyboard is the only reason why I have not bought the Sub Phatty, so with 37 keys we can talk business!
BTW: I would really appreciate an in depth video of the Sub 37!
Please, DON’T change the outside-look of the sub37.
Black with wood on the sides all the way. No comparison with the silver hypothesis, which could be great as well, but not as great as the black.
Anyway, I just ordered one, so, when mine’s gonna be in the house, you can do what you want .
Wood side panels are very classy on the Moog Sub 37 Tribute Edition. A non-Tribute Edition will probably replace the wood panels with black or silver steel, but it won’t be an improvement.
