Sub 37 modulation routing problem, Values changing

I’ve noticed something when I’m routing modulation from the panel, when I hold down the Source button on mod 1 or 2, then twist whatever knob I want to set as destination, the twist of the knob changes when holding source changes the value of the parameter when I release the source button. I know this is not supposed to do this as the values are supposed to be left intact.

I’m thinking this is a hardware problem as sometimes it doesn’t change it. Anyone else encountered this.

Is this in the editor? Or on the hardware?

Do you have the Pot Mode set to ABS (for Absolute)? It’s on the first page of the Global menu.

Seems like that’s what the Sub37 would have to do when we use the absolute-position pot mode:

  • we hold a Mod Dest button
  • we turn a knob to select the Mod Dest
  • we release the Mod Dest button
  • the synth uses the new absolute knob position

I usually just wiggle the knob back and forth, and not move it too far away. It works OK, like you want, for the on/off buttons, since they don’t change value when we let go of the Mod Dest button.
