My mind is swimming with possibilities after seeing that video.
Thank you Amos and team for all the hard work you’ve put into this! This update will add a completely new level to the fun and creative possibilities with this beauty.
Super happy I picked up one of these! I love companies that support their products properly after lau ch. You can tell Amos and the Moog team are proud and excited by this product.
Thank you Amos! You pretty well covered my questions from my thread about the Sub 37 Arp/Seq vs Dotcom sequencer. A powerful synth just got a lot more powerful.
I think I’m just a couple of paychecks away from pulling the trigger on the Sub 37.
Will there be any future updates for the Sub Phatty as well or is it obsolete? Things like oscillator variance (drift) would be nice to have on it as well.
Sub Phatty is not obsolete… there will be future updates. It’s hard to schedule when this will occur because Moog has such a very small team of engineers and a wide range of products. But sometime soon there will be at least a small Sub Phatty update, I promise.
As a newbie to this forum and a new owner of the Sub37, all I can say is WOW!!! Amos you are legend!!! Looking forward to getting this update. This has to be the best synth I’ve ever owned!!! I’m blown away by it every day!
Amos said in the video he believed at some point in February. As a developer myself, I can say from experience that target dates are often not hit, but I would imagine within the next couple of months.
I am working hard to wrap up this update in the next couple of weeks, though. We’ll see how it goes.
If anyone else wants an early preview (full beta tester warning: no warranty of usability on the beta firmware, don’t update in the middle of a gig/session, etc)… just email me. (my name at moogmusic dot com)
