Hi Gang,
There have been some questions about the changes in the Sub 37 Factory Presets v1_1.
The new file and instructions can be found at:
http://www.moogmusic.com/sites/default/files/Factory_Presets_v1_1.zip
This file came about after conversations with Amos about what many of us typically do to INIT PRESET before we start programming.
One thing we found in common was that most of us were zeroing out the AFTERTOUCH amount that was pre-assigned in the MOD 2 CONTROLLERS menu.
Another was that the INITIALIZE PANEL function was pre-assigning LFO SYNC On in one of the MODs while all of the INIT PRESETS had SYNC On in the other MOD.
It was decided that it would be best for SYNC to be Off in both MODs so that both of the LFO RATE knobs moved smoothly (as opposed to switching between units of the beat).
All of these changes were then made to INITIALIZE PANEL as well as the INIT PRESET patch template, which I then re-saved over every existing INIT PRESET.
There was also a little weirdness with going to, and leaving, preset 3-13 BOOM BAH that could be interpreted as being buggy (event though it wasn’t). I made a very tiny change to its behavior so that it now works better when scrolling past it.
And finally, per Amos’ suggestion, I called up and re-saved every Factory Preset so that they are now saved while running v.1.1.
So, in short, all of the Factory Presets are the same (just re-saved as v.1.1), except for 3-13 BOOM BAH, and all the INIT PRESETS now exactly match the result of pressing INITIALIZE PANEL.
