Sub 37 Editor is now available!

Just received my email notification. And downloaded: Sub_37_Editor_v1_0_0.zip

Comes with:
Sub 37 Editor v1.0.0
Sub 37 Firmware v1.2.0

Thank you Amos / Moog! Looking forward to trying this out after work tonight!

i Received the e mail for the 1,1 update with the link to obtain it but i tryed several time and tThe requested page could not be found.

would love a download link…

Great!

But only for registered users so far it seems. That is, I got a link tagged with a user id in the mail - I can’t find a public download yet. If there’s such a public link, please lets us know so we can share it.

Downloaded it and it looks great! Not that the Sub 37 is hard to edit from the panel (it’s one of the best in that regard) but any additional options are very welcome. Nice job Moog!

The attached zip file contains listings of the presets that come with the Moog Sub 37 Editor / Librarian, version 1.0.

There are three groups of files that differ only in how they are sorted:

  • FolderName = by name within a folder
  • FolderCat = by category within a folder
  • CatName = by name within a category, across all folders

Each group has the following files:

  • a tab-separated-values file, with extension “.tsv”
  • an HTML file (just a big table)
  • an RTF file

So, a little something for everyone. I hope you find it useful.

I’ve attached a zip file that contains a breezy HTML document with tips and cautions for the Sub 37 Editor. It doesn’t replace the Moog documents - you still must read those.

I hope you find it useful.

I downloaded the Sub 37 1.2.0 firmware zip file.

I extracted the files.

I turned on the Sub 37 with pitch wheel moved all the way up.

I am stuck on “FIRMWARE UPDATE. Flash erased. Ready for code.”

I went to Windows 10 Control Panel. Moog Sub 37 is connected and operating correctly.

What do I do next to get the firmware code into my Sub 37? :frowning:

I´ve just downloaded and updated the firmware to v1.2
Now there is no more audio signal. What to do?

I’m registered but have not received the email. Any others who didn’t get it?

I have not received it.

Quite surprised to see quite a few banks of patches included. Nice banks. Easy to audition them prior to committing them to a permanent preset slot.
Firmware update went flawless too.

I’ve installed the fw update and the editor but I seem to have problems with the editor talking to my sub 37. I can’t seem to ‘get’ or ‘send’ patches. It says that the hardware is disconnected. It does seem to find the proper USB midi port though and in ‘Setup’ the MIDI IN/OUT ports booth say ‘Moog Sub 37’, and if I change a button on the front panel in the editor it makes the appropriate change on the sub 37. MIDI setting seem fine for backing up and restoring from Sysex Librarian. Send/Recv program changes are ON, MIDI channel is 1/1. I’ve forced the sub 37 to talk MIDI on usb only.

Any suggestions?

Thank you . love it SUB 37 Editor

Can not I use to VST instruments in CUBASE 8.035 of win7 ?

Only appears VST FX…

Sorry I did not get a good English

I believe the instructions also tell you to turn the fine tune knob all the way down or something like that?

The download also contains the files and instructions for a manual update procedure if the automatic updater doesn’t work. You could try that.

Cool. This resolved at least two issues I was having. Big thanks to the folks over at Moog.

  1. It resolves a problem with the sustain pedal function that only allowed me to sustain Locally (The Sub 37) or as a MIDI controller. Now, once I go to Global/CV Mapping/Gate and set Gate to SUST PED, It will send MIDI sustain messages to external devices and retain the local sustain control of the Sub 37.

  2. I’ve connected my Sub 37 to my computer running Ableton and accidentally discovered that pressing the bank preset buttons on my Sub 37 now send program change messages to my instance of Massive. This is exactly what I needed, as I will be using the Sub 37 as my main controller live. I did not see any mention of this in the new documentation, but I would love to get an official description of how this function works because I’ve noticed that the program changes only seem to send from banks 1-9. That said, my Sub 37 only has presets saved in the first nine banks, so this may be related. Perhaps they only messages from saved presets.

Thank you. love it sub 37 editor

But can’t i use to VST instruments in Cubase 8.035 of win 7 X64?

Only appears VST FX

Sorry i don’t konw english well

Someone please share it on dropbox or whatever. Lot’s of people didnt get the mail (beta testers for example) + some of us arent too interested in registering and having to do research where to find serial no. and around 20 other things… i looked at it but gave up. Thanks.

Mine did that as well (on a Mac). I turned the Sub on and off again (whilst holding pitch wheel as per instructions) and then it worked. The installer software moved to a new page when I turned the Sub37 off saying ‘waiting to send firmware’ or something like that instead of the page that tells you to turn the filter cutoff down etc so I presume it needs to be on that page in order to work.

Can’t say I’m blown away by many of the the extra presets but the software is worth the wait.
