Thank you and the team too Gil, you have made a really great tool for one of the best synths out there. New beta’s sound interesting. All the best, Glyn.
I haven´t been testing for a while, but when updating and installing the released versions tonight, I got the same pitch issue as earlier beta versions, when the synth is turned back on the first time(s?) after the upgrading and the Fine tune has been untouched afterwards, it´s far off pitch, and I cannot get it in tune turning the Fine Tune. When turning it off and on again, it gets back to normal tuning.
When I open a preset from the synth in the Sub 37 editor, and change the Category (from MISC to LEAD), and press SAVE, the Category shows up as the first saved (MISC).
I´ve tried changing other parameters (turning knobs, activating switches), and this seems to work fine when saving the same preset.
When is the download link going to appear on the website?
I’d like to post a short news on the Sub 37 Cookbook about the release, but I’m not sure I should use the link that’s only in the email?
Just checking back in , and thought it was a good time to say thanks to the development team for all the hard work put into the editor, it’s a superb software companion to the Sub-37 and appreciated the level of effort put into this, given we the end users win
Used the Sub37 with the editor today. Just have to say that the editor works so great and seamless compared to other editors that usually all have bugs and are not very intuitive to use. The Sub37 editor really give you the best of both worlds: ease of using a VST in a DAW with quick preset management and the intuitiveness and feeling of working with an analog hardware synth. Simply amazing.
PS: Please - could you make an editor for My DSI Tetra 4 and Waldorf Pulse 2 too? Just kidding
Just an update - The problem goes away as long as the sub is set to local control ‘on’, everything works perfectly. If I run the sub with local ‘off’ then the syncing issues occur per below, according to Abelton Live, you do need to setup hardware synths with local ‘off’ to avoid redundant messages though;
Hi Gil,
I’m loving the new editor; the random preset button is pure genius! I am having some issues though where the sub 37 doesn’t react to my button clicks or one button controls a different button or I need to press the button twice. For example, I want to disable a noise source in the mixer section, press the button but the sub 37 lights stay on no matter how many times I am pressing but, the editor lights turn off. This behavior will happen with or without the plugin being active and with or without the daw turned on.
I’ve also noticed that when the editor is used in my daw, when I try using the knobs or buttons on the sub 37, the editor and the sub aren’t in sync. Actually if I use the editor only, everything works as it should be the hardware is behaving strangely since I installed the editor, any ideas?
I have all the up to date drivers, firmware and editors on my system.
I have had this issue even in the beta. I do believe they know about this because i reported it every time they did an new build but idk what is happening with it since the beta forum has been quiet since the release.
Cheers Gil,
I’m currently doing a simple workaround, when I want to edit on the hardware (which is most of the time) I enable local on via the sub plugin, do what I need to do then turn local off to continue working in live. It’s an inconvenience for now but it will be great if one could leave local off on the sub and still get full hardware knob tweaking functionality.
Bill.
