Hi dan, thanks for including me here. I should have been a bit clearer earlier though. I don’t map cc2 to cc1, I meant that on the ewi, you can choose what the breath pressure sends out via midi. Choices are breath control, mod wheel, volume. On the newer ewis you can’t have mod wheel but you can have aftertouch. I use modwheel as it’s a 14 bit controller and I generally hear less stepping as I blow harder that way. Still experimenting with all the possibilities on the sub 37 though so there may be a perfect combination. Totally agree with the thread though. Would be great to have a simple software direct link…
I’m with ya’.
Since the majority of the Sub 37’s controls have dedicated CC#s, a flexible continuous foot controller that transmits MIDI is a perfect match.
Here are a few solutions. The first is simple, the others may or may not be overkill, depending on how far you want to push it:
Thanks Dan! That MIDI Solutions box seems to be just what I need. Might have to stuff my own stocking come the holiday.
The Behr foot thing is cool enough, and if those buttons were in a more logical “keyboard” layout (for note triggering), I’d probably be all over it. As is, just too big for my rig and if a product is not just-right-for-me, I’m likely to skip a purchase and wait for tech to catch up.
Probably will talk to you all (@ SW) via side-channel about a proper solution for my feet, so I can play guitar and the Sub at the same time, right?
