Have any of you played (with) a Studio Electronics Analog Tone Chamelion, before?
In light of the discussion about patchable monosynths (in which the Source was widely discussed), I got to thinking about the ATC module and the review that Jim Aikin wrote about the ATC-X, last year.
When I first read the review, then wound up fiddling with it at the local retailer, I couldn’t help but be convinced that it might simply be a rack mounted version of the legendary Source. Aside from having 512 patches (4 groups of 128) - vs. the Source’s 16 - and the ARP, 303 & Oberheim filters - in addition to the Minimoog filter - I’d have to say so. How 'bout you?
In any event, that could be the monosynth that I wind up purchasing.
