I’ve had my Moog Little Phatty about 6 months and Im still learning the ins and outs of how to use it. I think it may need to be calibrated because some notes in lower octaves sound slightly out of tune. I know it has the Fine Tune knob but I dont think that is the all tell tale to fix this problem.
Also, I dont know if any of you have checked out Mark Guiliana’s Beat Music but its pretty cool stuff. I was watching one of his shows at the Zinc Bar with Stu Brooks and Big Yuki. Stu is using a Micro Korg synth but I feel the Phatty could get the same tones/sounds the Korg has…After all, Moog makes the best synthesizers in the world! If anything they copied the Moog sound!

Here is the link to the video. Its the entire show but if you go to 27 minutes and wait for Stu to hop on the Korg youll hear what Im talking about. He makes a couple different tones come out of that bad boy. If anybody has any insight to dialing in these sounds that would be greatly appreciated!! I’d like to make my own presets with these sounds cause I use the Moog for that dubby/drum n bass and a lot of hip hop stuff. Thanks all!
