Strange problem

Hi all,

I have noticed a weird problem with my Voyager. When I quickly let go off some keys in certain patches, they re-trigger. The envelope release switch is set to on. Switching it to off, and the problem barely perceptible.

Can someone help? :frowning:

All black keys are ok.

The white keys in the rightmost octave are ok

All other white keys (except for 3-4) are “double”

I have transposed the keyboard and what was playing “double” moved to the first octave and it plays fine.
 :frowning:

If this happens without a midi cable connected, and also on all patches, and directly after booting, then this looks like an hardware problem of the keyboard action. Is it a Fatar one? Or one of the chinese ones? Most Voyagers got a Fatar one. But not all.

Hi Till

yes, I think it’s a Fatar keyboard. I am not 100% sure though. MC told me in another forum that Moog let some bad keyboards slip off… If that’s the case then shame on them.

Now… what’s the email for Moog’s tech support?
:imp:

Then it’s likely that it isn’t a keyboard/hardware problem.

I have spoken with Moog’s tech department and it’s most likely a velocity problem. Also MC told me that Moog let some Voyagers slip with a problematic keybed.

I am taking to Moog’s authorized technician here in Greece.
