Step Sequencer doesn't play

I’ve recorded a step sequence in my Sub 37 just how it’s decribed on the manuel and how it’s done on a youtube tutorial. I can see on the screen that the steps seemed to be recorded but the sequence doesnt’t play/work, it hangs on step 1. Is there something I have to (de)activate on the menu?

Just a thought - do you have the arpeggiator rate set to SYNC but with no MIDI clock coming in?

On the menu the clock options are standing to:
send clock: arp
send st/stp: on
folow spp: on

I meant if the SYNC button next to the Arpeggiator rate knob was on/lit then it will wait for external MIDI clock to play the next note in the sequence.

If you don’t have some other device sending MIDI clock to the sub 37, the sequence won’t play with SYNC on.

I’ve tried it with the sync on and off but it still doesn’t work.

Quick sanity check: the ON/REST light next to the PATTERN knob is lit?

Also, check in GLOBAL MENU 2.1 that you don’t have GATE set to STEP ADV in the CV MAPPING MENU as that would wait for a trigger input before advancing the sequencer.

Res / on button is lit and the gate is set to default.

I found it: in the cv mapping menu (2.1) the volume was set to ST1 RSET. I’ve changed that and now it works. Thanks for your replies, that is why I could find the solution in this menu

At least you’ve solved it and this thread might help other people who have the same problem

 thanks
