The cabinet is made from the oak of 100+ year old church pews.
I have run across this beast in several locations during my travels across the void that is the interwebs. Mostly steampunk sites, but also Matrixsynth. The guy building it uses an electroplating type etching process for the brass plates, and I cannot think of the hours, talent, and cost required to do such a thing.
