I have recently noticed some issues that have got progressively worse with my modulation, oscillator and filter encoders.
they are able to turn 360 degrees and the lights now jump all over the place and it’s almost impossible to smoothly control the sections with the encoders.
any help on how i’d go about repairing this?
i fixed my prophet 08’s encoders using deoxit, just wondering if this would work or if anyone has a better solution before i crack it open and start messing about with it.
um, those aren’t 360-degree rotary encoders. They are normal, 270-degrees-of-rotation, analog pots.
So, it sounds like they are very broken… contact techsupport at moogmusic.com, we can fix it or send replacement pots if you have your own tech…
yeah i meant pots haha. i had the word ‘encoder’ on my mind…
They definitely are messed up. I bought it from ebay recently and it was in this condition (luckily i got it for a very low price), but it’s just becoming progressively worse.
Okay thanks Amos, i’ve sent an email to moog. waiting on a reply.
